Full Moon in Capricorn: Heal Over-Responsibility, Come Into Devotion
Full moon energy report for the Capricorn full moon July 10 2025 at 4:36pm edt.
The Full Moon in Capricorn is July 10, 2025, at 4:36 PM EDT, illuminating the ways we’ve carried too much, pushed too hard, and built from a place of pressure rather than presence. This is a karmic ending, a release of the old— in order to usher in the new.
The Sabian Symbol For This Full Moon: A Child Carrying Groceries
The sabian symbol gives us deeper insight into the flavor of the degree this Full Moon is taking place at. The Sabian Symbol for Capricorn 19 is:
“A child of about five, carrying a huge shopping bag filled with groceries.”
This image speaks to early responsibility—the weight of duties placed on us long before we were ready. It reflects the experience of feeling responsible for everything and everyone, often out of necessity. It’s a symbol of overextension, emotional burden, and the pressure to “be the grown-up” before you were ready.
Ask yourself: How does this pattern play out in my life? Where have I been carrying weight that isn’t mine anymore? Where do I still believe I have to prove my worth by doing it all?
Discipline vs. Devotion: The Old Paradigm is Cracking
This week is introspective as fu*ck, especially with all the squares to the Capricorn Moon leading up to the Full Moon. We’re being shown how our societal structure around action, responsibility, and service are shifting.
Capricorn energy, especially when distorted, can lead us into hyper-discipline. We’ve inherited a system deeply rooted in masculine energy—let’s call it the patriarchy—that prizes control, structure, and accumulation. Reach the goal— not matter the cost!
We’ve become a culture that stays disciplined in service of excess—working jobs that drain our soul in the hopes that one day, we’ll be safe and free. But what kind of freedom is that if it only arrives when we’re too old to enjoy it?
This Moon asks:
Are you building a life of false security or soulful satisfaction?
Because discipline without heart leads to burnout.
But devotion leads to vitality.
Devotion is soulful. It’s connected to what truly matters. It’s the energy that arises when you do something not because you should, but because your heart is in it. It’s an energy that will nurture and revitalize your whole being— and therefore life— if you let it.
A Real-Life Example: Devotion Feels Like Expansion
This week, I had a powerful experience of letting go of excess in my own business. I’d been paying $200/month for Kajabi, mostly because it’s what everyone else uses. But I wasn’t even collecting payments through it—I was using Square and Calendly. Kajabi was just holding my landing pages and email list.
It didn’t feel good. It felt like a weight, a pressure to be “professional” or look like some kind of Capricorn authority figure who had her life together because she had Kajabi.
But when I moved to Substack, everything shifted.

It felt expansive in my body. That’s the energy of devotion. That’s what this Full Moon is inviting:
Simplify. Release the pressure. Let go of what doesn’t feel like you.
It doesn’t need to make logical sense. You might just know what doesn’t feel good—and that’s enough. Let that be your starting point.
Astrology of the Full Moon: Mars, Uranus, and Venus
Mars is conjunct the South Node in Virgo, making this an incredibly karmic release around over-performing and over-serving. Mars in Virgo can act from perfectionism, obsessing over productivity and micromanaging our value through action. In its wounded expression, Virgo becomes the servant trying to earn its worth.
But the healed expression of Virgo is embodied service. It’s not about doing everything—it’s about doing what matters from a place of alignment, presence, and inner clarity.
Then there’s Uranus newly in Gemini, conjunct Venus. Uranus brings awakening, innovation, and disruption. Gemini rules the mind. Venus rules our values, relationships, and self-worth. This pairing could bring flashes of clarity around:
What you truly value
What you no longer want to mentally entertain
What relationships and money dynamics are worth sustaining
You’re being guided to think differently, to reorient to what feels expansive and aligned—even if it breaks a rule or disrupts your old identity. The collective definition of “success” is changing.
What if success feels like stripping your life down to what you value the most?
This Moon Asks You To…
Reclaim your energy from anything you’re doing just to appear responsible
Tune into your body: what feels expansive and what feels contractive?
Let go of things that once felt safe but now feel heavy
Trust that your soul’s truth doesn’t need justification—it just needs to be followed
As a practice, you might sit down and make a list of the responsibilities or commitments in your life and check in with your body:
Does this make me expand… or contract?
This is not a time to listen to teachers blindly or follow “what everyone does.”
This is a time to lead yourself.
